What is OBA?

OBA School is an online school, specialising in GCSE distance learning and distance learning A Levels. Founded in 2011, we have quickly become one of the leading providers of distance learning courses within the UK market. We currently offer international GCSE and A-Level courses, from awarding bodies including Pearson-Edexcel and Cambridge International, in a wide variety of subjects from Biology to English.

We are one of the very few distance learning, online schools that also offer qualifications in English as a second language. Our English language courses range from complete beginner at foundation level to upper-intermediate learners. This allows students to prepare for Cambridge Assessment English qualifications including KEY, PET, FCE and CAE.

Educational Resources

Although OBA School was founded in 2011, the website was not launched until 2018. Over the course of 7 years we focused on building the largest wealth of educational resources of any distance learning GCSE and A Level provider.

Our educational resource library is ever growing, including video tutorials and interactive resources, designed to aid learning from home. These video tutorials have been specifically created to conform with the curriculum of the International GCSE and A-level subjects currently offered by ourselves. In order to do this, we utilised the efforts of over 50 specialized teachers who have managed to produce over 25 thousand tutorial videos and more than 5 thousand interactive educational resources to date. Production is still ongoing in order to keep up with the latest changes to the curriculum and supply students with one of the best and largest curriculum-based digital libraries available anywhere online.

Goals

Our main goal here at OBA is to provide individuals with the opportunity to have a flexible, easy and quality secondary school education. Our online distance learning international GCSE and A Level course, allow users access to a British secondary school education; one of the best in the world. Due to the nature of learning, users are able to learn in their own time, at their own pace, in the comfort of their own home. This flexibility makes education more accessible, no matter the person’s circumstances.
In order to continue this degree of flexibility, students are also able to sit exams at a variety of locations throughout the UK and the world. This ensures that there are no restrictions, giving everyone the opportunity to learn and improve their current circumstances.

We also strive to raise the bar in relation to the quality of distance-learning courses for GCSE and A Level courses. We do this by working tirelessly to integrate the latest in digital technology with education. This helps to promote ease of learning, making it an enjoyable experience for students, making continued motivation more likely.
