About the GCSE Maths Higher
The International GCSE or simply IGCSE in mathematics is the only secondary school subject that have two different options as shown below which the student has to choose from:
1-International GCSE in Mathematics Foundation tier.
2- Or the International GCSE in Mathematics Higher tier (what us this page is about)
The IGCSE higher in mathematics course covers the subjects taught in the IGCSE mathematics foundation course in addition to some other advanced topics in mathematics such as trigonometric, differentiation, vectors, cubic graphs, therefore, the exam of mathematics higher contains within it topics of both the foundation and higher thus studying IGCSE mathematics higher does not require sitting for the exam of the IGCSE mathematics foundation at all but the student can go straight and sit for the IGCSE mathematics higher. Before the student enroll in this course, she/he has to make a choice between studying either of the mathematics foundation or higher tier based on which degree they wish to study in the university in the future.

The GCSE mathematics higher provides progression to maths A-level. Alternatively, you can progress with another 4 different GCSE qualifications to university foundation-year to any discipline that depends on maths such as any branch of engineering, science, computer science, economy, medicine and more. Please note that the number of GCSE subjects needed for admission depends on each university requirements.
Academic requirements: You don't need any previous qualifications to enrol in any of our IGCSE courses, but you will only need some basic maths for this course. For student who needs some mathematics push or brush up, we have designed for them a mathematics preparation short course to study before starting their IGCSE course, that shall help in filling up any lack or gap in maths basics skills. The course is most suitable to applicants who has studied to a school level equivalent to or higher than grade 8 or any other equivalent qualification.
English language requirement: If your first language is English then you may skip this section.
If your first language is Not English and you wish to enrol in our IGCSE courses then you are required to take our free online English proficiency test (EPT) in order to assess if you can join our IGCSE courses immediately or would require to take some English language courses for preparation first. Upon finishing your EPT test you will immediate have a feedback on your English language skills and which level it is equivalent to, just follow the on-screen instructions to the end. If your English language skills do not qualify you to start immediately, then you can still enrol in our IGCSE courses, that will entitle you to join our English language preparation courses from any English level that you have presently up to the Elementary level 3B free of charge provided you have already enrolled in 5 International GCSE subjects.

It is very important for you to know that your formal exams are externally assessed; that means you won’t be examined by OBA when you complete your study but by the examiner board i.e. by AQA for this course. The marks you achieve in your formal exams counts by 100% toward your qualifications while the ongoing internal exams you take with OBA do not contribute towards your qualification marks.

What Your Course Fees Doesn’t Cover
Course fees do NOT include examinations or arrangement fees which required to sit for your formal exams and are paid for either the examination centre whether it is Pearson-Edexcel Examination Approved Centre or the British Council in your country of residence.
